About the job

As a Meeting & Events intern you will be introduced to all aspects within the department. Your daily routine consists of administrative, organizational, and supportive tasks. Together with the Meeting & Events Team you will maintain and develop contacts with business generators, meeting and conference planners, visitors/Conference office, travel agents. • Support the M&E Team by managing the administrative tasks. • Handle events request from phone call, to sending offers and contracts to event planners under the supervision of the M&E Supervisor / Coordinator • Adhere to offers timing policy of maximum 24 hours • Coordinate the booking of rooms / meeting rooms for the events in the system under the supervision of the M&E Supervisor / Coordinator • Contributes to increase Group & Events conversions • Ensure that the rooming lists and reservation details are inserted in due time for operations. • Liaise with the following departments in procurement of the business: Sales Team, Banquet Operations, Front Office, F&B departments • Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds • Maintain a record system to include the following: files on all previous functions, banquet and reservation book, customer contact file, menu file, activities file, solicits and follows-up on business referrals and potential sales leads
• Participate in hotel promotional activities • Conduct daily checks on follow up and decision date listed • Everything else that you want to learn and can handle!

  • We offer a room depending on our availability at the time.
  • • Hours/week: 38h; • A monthly allowance of €650 and 80% reimbursement on local public transportation pass;

About you

The applicant should look for an internship of 6 months and should have the following qualifications and skills: • Languages: English and French • IT: Knowledge of Microsoft Office • Accurate and punctual; • Neat and professional grooming • High quality customer service, smiling and welcoming • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Organized and strong attention to details • Problem solving and initiative skills • Creative • Team spirit, friendly • Ability to stay calm and polite under pressure • Flexible regarding tasks and schedule
  • Language required: French. English is a plus

The President Brussels Hotel is a 4* property with 296 rooms, 20 meeting rooms and a unique private garden of 3000m². It also benefits from high speed Wi-Fi, a breakfast restaurant, a Mediterranean bar and a restaurant with a garden view and a terrace.
